Rogers roaming vs eSIM in Mexico

Check included Mexico roaming, eligible Rogers travel passes and daily pricing before comparing the total with a travel eSIM.

First: is Mexico already included?

Rogers says its Canada+US+Mexico plans do not incur the daily Roam Like Home fee in Mexico. Inclusion is line-specific, so check the line you will actually use. If your existing benefits cover the trip, a second data plan may be unnecessary. Rogers plan FAQ (checked September 14, 2026).

Second: compare a pass with daily pricing

Rogers lists Caribbean & Mexico Travel Pass durations of 3, 7, 14 and 30 days. Its FAQ says these use your existing plan’s allowances, and daily roaming does not apply within the pass’s eligible destinations and duration. Confirm your eligibility and account price. A seven-night holiday may include parts of eight calendar days, but billing depends on the carrier’s definition of a chargeable day. Check that rule before entering the number below. If caps or discounts apply, enter the quoted trip total instead.

Third: compare the eSIM’s full cost

Add the selected eSIM price, currency conversion, taxes and likely top-ups. If you also keep using your Rogers line for billable calls or texts, include those costs. A travel data package and access to your home plan’s talk/text benefits are not identical services.

Avoid paying for both by accident

Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data and review the home line separately. Turning off data roaming does not disable every type of usage. Ask Rogers about calls, texts, voicemail and Wi-Fi calling in your setup. Rogers roaming billing guidance.
