Example finder plans + dated provider research. How our comparisons work

MapleRoam · Canada-first travel

About MapleRoam & our methodology

A comparison project built around one question: what connection fits your trip from Canada?

What this site is today

MapleRoam is a working brand for this independent website project. No claim is made that the name or domain has been registered. No provider testing, customer reviews or performance ratings are presented.

Example data, clearly separated

The finder uses synthetic prices, allowances, validity and hotspot attributes. They are not advertised products. CAD values are invented amounts, not currency conversions. Last-checked fields are empty until research is completed. Cuba has no sample listings because availability needs direct verification.

Destination clusters and cost comparisons

Our 13 destination hubs organise itinerary guidance and supporting buying questions. Mexico price tables contain dated provider-published USD snapshots, not finder fixtures. Destination availability is not inferred for unverified products. The roaming calculator uses visitor-entered CAD costs and does not assume a carrier rate, tax, discount or exchange rate. Prices and source dates must be checked before purchase.

Provider research

The Keepgo and Maya Mobile guides summarize provider-published sources checked on September 14, 2026. Maya’s USD price snapshot is a dated observation, not an invented CAD fixture or live offer. The guides link to their sources and flag conditions to confirm. Neither provider is included in the synthetic finder rankings.

Side-by-side provider comparisons

Our ten general comparison pages cover every pairing of Airalo, Saily, Holafly, Maya and Keepgo. They summarize plan structures and identify details to verify, with provider source links. They do not use the invented CAD fixtures or rank providers by price. Maya’s USD snapshot is shown as a separate reference; matched quotes for the other providers have not been recorded.

How the finder works

The finder keeps plans that match the chosen destination, cover at least the selected trip length and data amount, and include the example hotspot attribute when requested. It sorts matches by example total price, then provider name. It does not score network quality or declare a best provider.

How to evaluate a real offer

Check the seller’s product page for the local network, coverage, allowance, validity trigger, hotspot policy, speed limits, top-ups, refund terms and checkout currency. Record a source URL and the actual research date. Recheck before relying on a price.

Commercial independence

Affiliate commission is not an input to filtering or sorting. Provider order in static tables is consistent and does not imply a ranking. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Editorial sources

Setup guides refer to Apple’s official travel eSIM guidance. Carrier pages link to the respective carrier’s roaming information. Carrier references are dated observations, not personalised quotes. The site does not claim independently verified coverage.
