Does your phone support eSIM?
Check your exact model, country of purchase and carrier lock before choosing a travel eSIM.
Use the exact model number
Model names alone are not sufficient: device variants and purchase regions can affect eSIM support. Find your model number in device settings and consult the manufacturer’s specifications and provider compatibility list.
Check the carrier lock separately
eSIM support does not prove the phone is unlocked. On iPhone, check Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock. Apple describes “No SIM restrictions” as the unlocked status. If unclear, contact your current carrier.
Look for an eSIM setup option
On a supported iPhone, look in Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data for Add eSIM. Android menu names differ; consult your manufacturer’s instructions. Do not treat a missing or present menu alone as a complete compatibility test.
Before you pay
Ask the seller to confirm your exact model and region, and read the refund conditions. Also check how many profiles and active lines the phone supports. Save the response with your purchase details.
